Scheduling

As learning music requires regular practice over a long period of time to attain good results, I encourage your commitment to lessons on a quarterly basis. Lessons are organized throughout the year in quarters that roughly align with the school year. I advocate taking lessons through the summer as well. (See

Billing

After your free 30-minute trial lesson, your time slot will be held for 48 hours. Should you choose to continue studies with me, payment for the rest of the month’s lessons is required upon receipt of your invoice. You will next be billed on the first of each month for that month’s lessons until you decide to cancel.

A 30 day notice of cancellation is appreciated in writing, via email.

Missed Lessons

One make-up lesson per 30-days is allowed.

Make-up credits are issued upon notice, and must be used within 30 days of the missed lesson. Make-up credits expire after 30 days.

To be eligible for a make-up, notice must be given before 8pm on the previous day. Notice must be made through the booking site or by text/email.

In the case of emergency illness, only a two-hour advanced notice is required for a missed lesson to be eligible for a make-up.

If teacher needs to cancel a lesson because of personal illness or professional obligations teacher will open up his/her schedule as is able to accommodate missed lessons, or will issue credits for missed lessons due to my absence.

Additional make-up lessons can be earned if you “send a friend” in your place. For example, if you have to miss two lessons within a 30-day period, you can earn you another make-up when you send a friend (who is not currently enrolled) to have a lesson in your place. Furthermore, if your friend decides to enroll in lessons with me you will receive a referral fee (see below).

Communication

It is imperative that you provide a working email address. Email is my primary form of communication. I am not responsible for lost email communications due to recipient's full in boxes, bounced emails, emails lost to the junk folder, or anything similar. All official communications must be done via email. Text messaging is best for last minute scheduling issues.

Referrals

Referrals are appreciated and will be rewarded with financial incentives. Receive a free lesson (a $41 value) when your referral enrolls!

Materials

For materials that we agree are necessary for the student’s progress beyond the provided core method books, please immediately purchase all recommended materials via links that I provide. These links may be affiliate links, meaning I earn a small percentage from your purchases, though at no additional cost to you.

Alternatively, I can purchase them at the lowest price available and invoice for that amount, plus service fees (~4%).

Holidays: Labor Day (9/3), The week of Thanksgiving (November 22nd-28th)

Winter Quarter: December - February

Holidays: The week of Christmas through January 2nd (Off 12/20-1/2)

Spring Quarter: March - May
